"Reborn" is inspired by my Bitcoin journey and the many other people whose lives have been changed by Bitcoin. I’ve carved the hand in the “Gyan Mudra” or the “Mudra of Wisdom or Knowledge,” with an Opendime grasped between thumb and index finger alluding to the pursuit of Bitcoin knowledge. The hand emerges from rough, choppy water, and I've set the hand against an archway, through which, the copper leaf hints at the bright orange future made possible by Bitcoin.
Materials: Carrara Marble, Copper leaf, Opendime

This is my largest sculpture to date. It is visual representation of the idea or meme created by Knut Svanholm- that the potential of Bitcoin can be understood as "Everything divided by 21 Million." To delve deeper into this idea, I highly suggest reading Knut's book.
Materials: Colorado Yule marble, Carrara marble, reclaimed slate and 24k gold leaf

This functional artwork is an homage to some of my favorite pieces of Bitcoin hardware. The Bitaxe movement is one of the most exciting things in Bitcoin and I wanted to create something lasting to showcase one of these amazing little mining devices. Though challenging to carve, the gothic style text of the Bitaxe logo is perfect for lettering in stone. Hand carved and adorned with 24k gold leaf, this artwork is a lasting, luxurious (maybe too over the top, but what the hell), display for the Bitaxe gamma.
Opendimes are one of my other favorite hardware devices in the Bitcoin ecosystem, and I have included them in many of my previous artworks. Along with the Bitaxe, I think they make great gifts and amazing conversation starters to help people fall down the Bitcoin rabbit hole. I’ve included a niche for an opendime here as part of the display, and if you are so inclined, you could also set the Bitaxe to mine directly to the Opendime’s Bitcoin address.

This is a 1/1 reproduction of one of my first marble sculptures. This piece is made of cold cast marble, which is high grade resin mixed with marble dust and chips. The marble used was saved from the original sculpture.
With this piece my goal was to capture the moment of epiphany, when the orange pill hits and you finally understand Bitcoin. We all take different paths to Bitcoin, but when we finally see the truth, it cannot be unseen. In spirit, this piece is a self portrait, but I hope it speaks to every Bitcoiner who has seen the light and the bright orange future that lies before us.
Materials: Calacatta marble & Resin

This carving of “HODL” is hand lettered using hammer and chisel in Grayson slate from Virginia. The slate itself is a beautiful dark stone with natural metallic pigments.
This carving is a prime example of traditional “v-cut” lettering, as seen on monuments and public buildings, the world over. “V-cut” letters are renowned for their longevity, remaining legible hundred if not thousands of years later, and for their beauty in differing light conditions.

An ode to Satoshi and the many Cypherpunks and cryptographers who paved the way for the genesis of Bitcoin. It is also a reference to the mythical “Philosopher’s Stone,” a substance that could turn base metals into gold and help one achieve immortality. I view Bitcoin as the realized dream of alchemists long past. Whether it is the transmutation of energy into value or of lesser money into better money, Bitcoin in my mind embodies many attributes of the Philosopher’s stone. Even when it comes to immortality I see parallels, for while our earthly bodies will decay, the marks we leave behind on the Time Chain will never fade, giving Bitcoiners a valid claim on immortality in much the same way that beautiful stone sculptures have given their creators a legacy reaching far into the future.
